Prof. Dr. Günter Nest

Günter Nest, after studying architecture, history of art and dramatics as well as urban and regional planning, earned a doctoral degree in Urban and Regional Planning with a study on the role of voluntary organisations in coastal Andhra Pradesh (India). His activities as consultant, photographer and curator are centred around urban planning and design, whereby he especially stresses local strategies for urban development in varying cultural arenas.
He teaches at the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee and holds an honorary professorship at the Department of Architecture of Technical University Berlin.
Since 2004, he has been visiting professor at the University School of Design in Mysore, India.

Dr. Elisa T. Bertuzzo

Elisa T. Bertuzzo publishes and does research in the field of urban studies. After studying comparative literature and communication science in Augsburg, Berlin and Paris, she wrote a dissertation on everyday life production of space in Dhaka (Bangladesh). In her works as author and researcher, she deals with survival practices and tactics of the subaltern, that she tries to reflect and transpose in the process of conceiving urban-focused projects in Europe and South Asia.
Beyond teaching appointments in Dhaka and Berlin, she holds a position as researcher at the Institute for Social Studies of Humboldt University, Berlin.

Tyco Cote, as a master student of Architecture at the University of Technology Berlin, has always tried to maintain an approach to architecture that places the human being first. His interest in meeting and interacting with people has led him to several places in the world, participating in workshops in Syria, Mexico, India and Europe. Recently he took part in the exchange program “Architecture and Habitat” with the University of Mysore, India, and conducted a workshop on the local MRTS in Chennai in cooperation with the Anna University and the Goethe Institute Chennai.
